Kiva

Wikipedia says, “ Kiva Microfunds is a 501 non-profit organization that allows people to lend money via the Internet to low-income entrepreneurs and students in over 80 countries. Kiva's mission is “to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty.” Basically, Kiva is a non- profit organization that allows you to LOAN money to entrepreneurs around the globe. Kiva a charity website that allows you to make your money back, but you are still helping someone in need. The idea of a microfund even won a Nobel peace prize in 2006! The two potential candidates that I found on Kiva are: 1.) Dewitt from the U.S. 2.) Patricia from the U.S. They are both from California, Patricia is looking to expand her cosmetic business, and Dewitt is looking to replace his honeybee equipment and colonies that were lost in the Santa Rosa Tubbs fire. Test Day

Last Human Geo. class i had to miss because i was getting a chest brace on, but the rest of the class had to take a test.

Presentations

Today in Human Geo. Mr. Schick let us know that our test will be on Friday. The the remainder of the class we went over our presentations, Ben and I went first, then Frankie went (solo), and Owen (Solo) went last, his presentation was very well done.

Pop quiz Pt. 2 and Project review

Today in Human Geo. we retook the Pop Quiz!! I think i got a 100% this time. After that we went over our Human Geo. projects, where we compared and contrasted two different population charts. Later today I have basketball practice then we have JC madness.

Pop quiz

Today in Human Geo. we had a pop quiz! I did pretty good on it but almost everyone else was saying it was a little unfair. After Human Geo. my advisory took a mini bus to Teddy's funeral because his sister is in our advisory, it was very sad but it was a good funeral. Later i had my first official basketball practice with John Carroll.

Notes

Today in Human Geo. we took notes on different ways a population grows, like a tree, box, or cup shapes. Ellie had another shadow today. I had day two of my basketball tryouts, and we ran a lot. Now i am doing homework and writing this blog. 

Review

Today in Human Geo we reviewed our notes that we took in the previous two classes also Kelsie and Ellie hd shadows. Today I also had basketball tryouts, and they went pretty well, tomorrow we have a dress down day at John Carroll.

Notes on birth rate

Today in human Geo we took notes, about infant birth rate, and how in order for a place to maintain the same population the infant birth rate would have to be 2.1 not 2. Owen did not bring in food today but Ben brought in water. Later today im am going to finish homework and play basketball.
